Meet April D. Murdaugh

April D. Murdaugh is a Financial Professional at Woman To Woman Financial in Jacksonville, Florida. Her practice helps women and their families create and grow generational wealth

She has worked in the financial services industry for a number of years and is passionate about financial literacy for all women.  She has taught financial education programs in churches, libraries, and private organizations in both South Carolina and Florida. 

In 2015, she founded a non-profit organization, The Economic Empowerment Center, Inc., dedicated to providing financial education programs for High School and College students.

Her signature workshop, The Five Biggest Mistakes Women Make With Their Money outlines the many financial struggles she’s had managing her finances to help eliminate the stigma and shame many women feel about their financial situation in hopes of getting them to act.

April is a former college administrator and full-time professor of Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University, a Master of Science in Management degree from Southern Wesleyan University, and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University.

She is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers-NAIFA; a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce; a board member of the Professional Women’s Council of the Jax Chamber (PWC); a member of Women Business Owners of North Florida (WBONFL); Advisory Board Member of the Barco-Newton YMCA; a member of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association; and President of The American Business Women’s Association-Orange Park Chapter.

She is a single mother of four wonderful children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, music, running, kayaking, and hiking.

It was then I realize the need to not only learn for myself, but to become the financial professional I know many women desperately needed.  

After years in the business, I have developed a reputation for educating women in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp difficult financial concepts and use them to pursue their financial objectives. 

I am confident that my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I can help women better prepare for the future.
