Her signature workshop, The Five Biggest Mistakes Women Make With Their Money outlines the many financial struggles she’s had managing her finances to help eliminate the stigma and shame many women feel about their financial situation in hopes of getting them to act.
April is a former college administrator and full-time professor of Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University, a Master of Science in Management degree from Southern Wesleyan University, and a Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University.
She is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers-NAIFA; a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce; a board member of the Professional Women’s Council of the Jax Chamber (PWC); a member of Women Business Owners of North Florida (WBONFL); Advisory Board Member of the Barco-Newton YMCA; a member of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association; and President of The American Business Women’s Association-Orange Park Chapter.
She is a single mother of four wonderful children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, music, running, kayaking, and hiking.
